Hosting

There are many different types of hosting depending on what is required from your website, or possibly service.

Cloud Servers

These are fairly new, however are becoming more popular, they have the ability to be expandable with minimal effort and ease.

Cloud Servers proved to be useful to developers as it gave them more time to work on their projects, and alot less time configuring the server.

With minimal downtime compared to other servers and the ability to add Ram or add Disk Space within seconds.

Another key feature, is being able to pay by the hour, rather than fixed monthly/yearly payments.

Dedicated Servers

This requires more configuring and lots of tedious work to manage, however it is much like having your own pc, connected to the internet at most likely much higher speeds than your home connection, that will be powered on 24/7/365.

With your own ram, disk space, processor and internet connection it is not often your receive problems with performance however dedicated can be limiting and depending on the task overpowered.

Great power comes great bills, depending on your product/service your dedicated server may pay for itself and some.

RPServers

‘Real Private Servers’ are often refered to as “seedboxes” these have the ram, processor and internet connection of a dedicated, however the hard drive is stored on the network.

Usually these have much less disk space compared to a dedicated server, however they are usually a fraction of the price.
